All eyes are now focused on the magnum opus ‘Dasavadharam’ starring Kamal Haasan in ten different roles. Hitherto quiet about the film, the actor finally managed to divulge some details about the much-hyped movie produced by Oscar Ravichandran and directed by K S Ravikumar. The humor and fun of ‘Michael Madana Kamarajan’, the sadness of ‘Mahanadhi’, the emotions of ‘Thevar Magan’ and ‘Hey Ram’ are all woven into a screenplay that never loses sight of audience entertainment in ‘Dasavadharam’,' said Kamal Haasan on ‘Dasavadharam’. The versatile actor has said that the film uses a complex story-telling technique. At the same time, he assures that everything was put in simple terms. 'Dasavatharam has a lot of Al Gore in it, and also Ramanujar', he says. 'There are 10 characters and each one would be different and unique'.

The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Kamal Haasan might play a pivotal role in director Manirathnam's next movie starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. To be made simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, the movie would have musical score by A R Rahman. Kamal Haasan has been approached to do a prominent character in the film. Manirathnam and Kamal Haasan had last worked together in ‘Nayagan’. The movie was a big hit and was critically acclaimed too. The film, based on a real life incident, managed to find a place in Top 100 Movie's of the Times List.

Kamal Haasan's forthcoming film 'Marmayogi', to be produced jointly by Walt Disney and Bharat Bala, will go to floors very soon. Buzz is that Kamal Haasan is planning to do the movie in four different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Sources say the movie pertains to incident that occurs in seventh century. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan's 'Dasavadharam' will be released this May. Featuring him in 10 different roles, the movie produced by Oscar Ravichandran has musical score by Himesh-Reshammiya.


Tsunami during 'Dasavadharam'


Yes it is true! But we mean not literally. The producer Oscar Ravichandran has divulged some very interesting facts about this film. Mr. Ravichandran while talking about this film spoke about the huge sets that were erected for a tsunami shoot. Around two acres of land was used with more than 1000 artists in the scene. The shoot for this particular scene lasted for 50 days. We all know that 'Dasavatharam' has been taking longer than usual to hit the theatres, but there seems to be genuine reason behind the delay. The hero, Kamal Haasan has worked strenuously with his diet as well his looks for the film and has wore layers of makeup all over his body for the right look the scenes demand from him. There is also a sneak preview of the film where Kamal is portrayed as Brahmin and who gets drowned in the sea along with a Vishnu idol. The producer has also said that they have four lakh feet of the film, which needs to be edited and cramped into two hours and 45 minutes. This is the reason why the producer is unable to pin point the right time as to when the editing will be through. Well producer sir, we audience will be really happy if the film is worth the wait!

'Dasavadharam' might be postponed


The release of Kamal Haasan starrer 'Dasavadharam', the most anticipated movie of 2008, might get postponed. It is learnt from reliable sources that the computer graphics work, which is said to be one of the strong points of the movie, is yet to be over. Though producer Oscar Ravichandran has expedited the process by organizing the work simultaneously in India and abroad, it is most unlikely that the work would be completed before the deadline. Earlier, it was said that the movie would be released by April 13. Ravichandran is making it clear that the release date could not be made clear as of now. Earlier we had mentioned the audio release of the album will be held in the first week of April. But grapvine has that the album will hit the market on the 28th of April.


The most anticipated movie of 2008, Dasavadharam's audio launch is all set to be held on the 2nd of April. It was supposed to be released much earlier, but due to some problems it is postponed. Jackie Chan is expected to participate in the function alongside Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and Amitabh Bachan. Himesh Reshamiya has composed the songs.
