'Yaradi Nee Mohini' on April 4

Dhanush – Nayantara starrer ‘Yaradi Nee Mohini’, one of the most awaited films in the recent times, is expected to hit the halls by April 4. The film, which has been censored with ‘U’ certificate, will be released with more than 200 prints. The romantic drama with comedy and superb music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is a remake of the Telugu hit ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule’, directed by Selvaraghavan. 'Yaradi Nee Mohini', directed by Selvaraghavan’s erstwhile assistant Mithran R. Jawahar, is said to be a perfect family entertainer. The film has no violence or vulgarity in the name of comedy. Nayantara, who sizzled with her glamorous appearance in ‘Billa’, is handling role that gives more scope for acting than sizzling. It is worth recalling that Trisha, who donned the female lead in the original, got the MAA TV Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film.

Vishal Emulates Rajini

Vishal had a unique experience in Turkey, where a song was shot in damn new locations for ‘Sathyam’. The team of ‘Sathyam’ is just back from the tour to Dubai and Turkey after shooting a few scenes and a song in these countries. Dance master Dinesh, who choreographed the song, informed an interesting incident to Vishal, showing a particular spot. That was the place where Superstar Rajinikanth danced with Nayantara for the song ‘Konja Neram’, in Chandramukhi. Vishal was thrilled to hear the news and he wanted to act in the same place for the song, which was being shot in various locations in Turkey. The unit obliged and a few shots were taken in the spot. Meanwhile, the unit of ‘Sathyam’ denies the rumour suggesting that cinematographer R.D. Rajasekar demanded business class in the flight. He, despite having undergone a surgery in his hip recently, had traveled in economy class while going to Dubai, say the insiders.

Vijay and Nayantara add attraction to IPL

The Chennai team of BCCI’s Indian Premiere League (IPL) has roped in two top stars from Kollywood to add colour to the team. Chennai Super Kings formally embraced the glamour that cinema is believed to bring along by roping in two Kollywood biggies as its brand ambassadors. The leading young actor Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and the hot girl of Kollywood Nayantara were officially announced as brand ambassadors of the team. The announcement was made at a glittering function held in Chennai today (March 18). Vijay, who was present in the function said, “I am thrilled to be part of the Chennai Super Kings. I am an ardent fan of cricket, thanks to my son, who is glued to the television set whenever India plays.” He added that, “To be part of our Chennai team is a delight for me and I hope that I can contribute my bit in my new role. All my fans and well-wishers too have a great passion for the sport. Let's all join hands together and support Chennai Super Kings to ensure that namma team rocks”.
